בהשתתפות מכובדים רבים נערך היום טקס הסרת הלוט מכיכר "האליפסה" על שמו של עמרם לוק, ראש המועצה המיתולוגי של בית שמש

ביום שלישי האחרון חל יום השנה השביעי לפטירתו של עמרם לוק ז"ל, ראש המועצה המיתולוגי של בית שמש. עיריית בית שמש ערכה היום (חמישי) במתחם "שער העיר" טקס הסרת הלוט מכיכר "האליפסה" על שמו של לוק.

הטקס נערך בהשתתפות ראש העיר ד"ר עליזה בלוך, יו"ר מפלגת העבודה חה"כ עמיר פרץ, חה"כ הרב משה אבוטבול, אשת המנוח חיים לוק שגם הסירה את הלוט, סגן ומ"מ ראש העיר מר משה שטרית, סגנית ראש העיר עו"ד רינה הולנדר ועוד.

הטקס המרגש והמכובד ציין למעשה את הוקרת העירייה ותושבי בית שמש על פועלו הרב של לוק.

חשוב לדעת: בית שמש הוכרזה כעיר בחודש יוני, שנת 1991. לפניכן בית שמש היתה מועצה וניהלו אותה חמישה ראשי מועצה שונים – עמרם לוק ז"ל היה ראש המועצה הרביעי. כשבית שמש הוכרזה כעיר, ראש העיר הראשון שנבחר היה שלום פדידה.
