מהפכה ירוקה בעיר: בימים אלה מקודמות העבודות ברחבי בית שמש להתקנת תאורת רחוב LED חסכונית בעלות כוללת של כ-7.5 מיליון שקלים

תאורת לד בבית שמש: החלו העבודות להחלפת גופי התאורה בעיר בית שמש לגופי לד חדשניים וחסכוניים.

עלות הפרויקט – כ-7.5 מיליון שקלים, מתוכם 3 מיליון שקלים תוקצבו על ידי משרד הפנים.

במסגרת הפרויקט, המנוהל על ידי עיריית בית שמש והחברה הכלכלית, צפויה החלפתם של כ-5,000 גופי תאורה ופנסים ברחבי העיר. ההחלפה מעריכים בעירייה, תחסוך מעל למיליון שקלים בשנה בהוצאות החשמל ובעלויות התחזוקה של העירייה.

ראש העיר ד"ר עליזה בלוך מציינת כי "אנחנו ממשיכים את המהפכה הירוקה. לאחר שהעירייה הכניסה לשירותיה מכוניות חשמליות ונקבעו עמדות טעינה בעיר, החל המהלך של החלפת התאורה. אנו שמחים לבצע את המעבר הנצרך לטכנולוגיה אשר תיטיב עם הסביבה וכן תוזיל את הוצאות החשמל בעיר. וכמו כן החלפת הנורות הישנות באלו החדישות יחסכו את עבודות התחזוקה התכופות".
